Why do people eat "junk food"?

Question

When it's called just that, "junk"?
If it was called "crap", "****", "poop", "disease", "heart attack in a wrapper" food would people still eat it?

People eat junk food because it tastes good and oftentimes can be 'fun'. "Duh", as the overly opinionated teen would say.



Some people do refer to it as you state. Tim McGraw sings a song "Where the Green Grass Grows" and refers to his fast food as

I'm craving a McDonald's double cheeseburger right now and I'm not depressed, just darned hungry.

I guess if they changed the name to something disgusting, that would put some people off, but "junk" food is usually quick to access and tastes good for a reasonable price.....everything a person would find appealing.



Wouldn't it be great if they could invent a type of junk food that was also good for you? I know they've tried and the last effort I tasted was a bit like eating plastic cabbage in a cardboard sandwich. Umm Umm!

I eat junk food all the time, just because that's mostly what's in our house.

I'm trying to start eating healthier though.

But I just grab some when I'm hungry and don't want to make anything or just bored.

Lol, this is a very funny question. But, I can answer it because I do eat a lot of it. I eat it mostly when I have nothing better to do. So, when I'm bored, I grab a snack.

Because of taste. If there were foods named such as you describe, people would still eat them, to be chic.



For instance, there is a brand of cigarettes called "Death". People buy them and smoke them.

Reason why.. Its easy its cheap it has addictive ingredients and its just plain CHEAP!!! which people like.



Thats like when people smoke and they read the labels with the warning heart attack or they find out what ingredients it has. They wont stop.... They are addicted and it makes them feel (GOOD) thats why there are sex addicts because it makes them feel (GOOD) its all about you and well.. YOU :P
