Don't ever say "replace me" to your boss or they may do it permanently.

Always talk to the most senior store manager on duty. They are the ones who make the decisions.

Give them plenty of advanced notice. 8 -10 hours preferably. Just tell them you aren't feeling well and you probably shouldn't be working around food. ASK them "Is it OK, If I take the day off to rest". Never tell them you aren't coming in, that sounds too demanding. Ask for permission and don't be surprised if they tell you NO. You have to work your shift.

Eh....there should be some sort of procedure that was established in your orientation on who to call and how long before your shift to call in so they can have time to try and find someone to cover your shift.

Likely it would be some sort of shift manager or assistant manager you'll want to speak to (I haven't a clue as I have never worked at a McDonalds or any fast food joint and don't really know the chain of command).

Call the store you work for and ask for the manager, then tell him you can't come in because of sickness.

You need to call the special absentee line. It puts you through to the person in charge of that department. I believe his name is "Hamburgler" or "Grimace".
