Should I apply to other restaurants?

I work at McDonald's right now and the pay sucks. No one gives you tips even if you offer table services at McDonald's. I heard that other servers make lot of money just by receiving tips in other restaurants, not including their paycheck. I also heard that restaurants who give tips are giving workers below minimum wage where McDonald gives you minimum wage. But still like I said, the tips can get you lot of money. So should I apply to other restaurants and what kind of restaurants gives you lots of tips?

Working as a server is completely different than working fast food. Servers work hard for those tips. But the reality is you can make A LOT MORE MONEY in a real restaurant than you'll ever make working at a McDonald's.



But you'll work a lot harder and the hours are longer.

Fast food in general is a minimum wage job. Sonic is the only one that gets some tips because of the car hop thing. Diners and restaurants pay $2.19 and you earn tips with your service, and then pay income tax on their tickets at a 15% rate. If you are not damn good at it you won't make any money.

Tipped workers typically make a much lower minimum wage....however, a good restaurant gig pays pretty well in tips.

Don't eliminate a pizza delivery gig. I made an easy $100 on fri. and sat. nights, 20-40 the other days, plus minimum wage and 50 cents per delivery.

You are a troll. McD's doesn't even allow you to take tips. Table service, what table service? No one works there thinking they'll get tips. People are so gullible.
