Why did McDonald's get rid of the caramel sauce and will they ever bring it back?

I used to like getting the caramel apples with my breakfast and I really miss them. They are not the same without the sauce - that's what MADE the item.

The caramel sauce was an unfortunate causality on the 'war on sweets'. In order to make the apples more nutritious for the kiddies the sauce had to go away. Now they get yogurt in a tube.

If you still want it though you can get caramel fruit dip at the grocery store, it usually comes in a pint sized tub.

People probably wasnt buying the caramel sauce so they discontinued it since they were losing money on it.

I would assume because the rest of the consumers didnt have the same opinion and they probably were losing money rather than gaining it by keeping the item.
