Golden State Foods of Irvine, Calif., , says the ketchup it makes for the chain contains one-third more tomato solids than other brands, making it thicker. Mr. Hasco disputes that McDonald's ketchup has more tomato solids. He says Heinz ketchup is distinct from McDonald's because it has a different balance of sweet and sour flavors.

Where does McDonald's use Heinz? I have only seen Fancy Ketchup. It is nothing like Heinz.

Heinz is only used in two markets well up till this week now mcDonalds is getting rid of there contract with Heinz as they have hired a CEO who used to be a top chief for Burger King.

i preety sure its heinz. next time you go there, ask for a little tub of tomato ketchup and i think u will find 'heinz' on the lid. I always think it tastes better from mcdonalds even though i have heinz ketchup at home bt i think its just the fact that ur eating a really nice burger and chips with it that makes it taste so good :)
