In-N-Out is definitely a healthier choice for fast food dining when compared to standard burger-type fast food restaurants, except maybe when compared to Healthy Choice restaurant.
Every ingredient used to construct an In-N-Out burger is fresh and crisp, any hint of wilting or color fasting and the product is thrown away and replaced.
As for the french fries, they are browned in 100% Virgin Olive Oil, the purest of all Olive Oils.
The potatoes themselves are washed and cored on the spot, with little downtime to discolor and soften.
Milkshakes are made with fat free milk and soy based arabic gum ice cream, the flavor is also made from natural ingredients.

While we were doing a unit in my science class on what in fast food is so bad for you, we were told about how at one point the CA health department did a test of all the big fast food chains in the state and In-N-Out passed as both the most healthy and the most sanitary chain in California. As far as fast food places go (I wouldn't include places like Subway under the "fast food" category myself), I'm pretty sure it's the best for you.

Their ingredients are fresh, never frozen... so no preservatives. And I think they fry their french fries in 100% cholesterol free oil. I would say, yes, they are healthier (not to mention tastier) than other fast food! The only downside to the "healthiness" of In-n-Out is that they only have burgers.. so no options of salads or chicken.

Their food is not necessarily healthier, but rather less unhealthy than other places-there is a difference. Mainly the reason to go there is because they use better quality ingredients and everything is cooked to order, not just assembled to order with precooked components (a Wendy's shortcoming).

Compared to other hamburger chains yes. They do their best to have top quality and fresh Items. If you want to save the carbs as well, they will wrap your burger in lettuce for a healthier twist.

IN-N-OUT and other fast food restaurants are the same. most food are fried, or grilled burgers. you don't see how much oil or butter they use when cooking. i know because I'm working in fast food.if you want healthy food, cook at home with olive oil, olive oil is very healthy. or you can go to a restaurant where the chefs cook in front of you. Japanese restaurants.

Because everything they use in is fresh with no additives or preservatives. They use good cooking oils as well. In N Out is the bomb!
